First Look at Thor

The very first photo of Chris Hemsworth as Thor was recently released, and it's looking very good. I put it beside the comics version of Thor so we can compare both. The costume looks awesome.

One year to go before we can see this on the big screen, May 6, 2011. A long way to go, but definitely something to look forward to.

Scared and Excited

Tomorrow will be my last day in my favorite shift. Next week, I'm supposed to be back in the morning shift, but I made an arrangement with my colleague and our boss that I will be in graveyard shift for the first half of May, and then the morning shift in the second half of the month. Relaxation time is over, and it's back to work again next week.

Speaking of work, I just got a call earlier tonight from the producer of Kindred Hearts, the original musical which my sis and I are helping right now. Kaz and I were supposed to be consultants but now they're offering me a minor but important role in the production. How can I say no to such an offer. I'm not supposed to feel any pressure because it's just a minor role, but I am. I feel pressured because they're expecting a lot from me. My reputation and credentials have actually preceded me. Yes, that's the main reason why I don't feel sleepy at all now. I'm excited and kinda scared, adrenaline is pumping hard right now.

Sam's Audition

Here's Sam Milby's Glee audition video as well. Yes, Sam has improved a lot with his singing since he started in showbiz not so long ago.

Nikki's Full of Glee

I've always admired Nikki Gil ever since she entered show business. I've always admired and respected her both as an artist and a person. She has one of the most beautiful faces I've seen, and one of the sweetest voices ever. It's so wonderful to know that she just auditioned for Glee. I personally feel that she's perfect for Glee, and whether she gets accepted or not, I so admire and respect her now more than ever.

And yeah, I hope to meet her someday.

What's wrong, NBA.com?

When the official website of the NBA messed up last week, I thought they were just excited and all. Now they're doing it again. I mean, I'm happy that my Cavaliers won Game 4 in Chicago earlier and leads the series 3-1, but how can the National Basketball Association misspell a simple word and post it for the whole world to see? Geez, even without copy editors, the spell check feature of their computers would right away see it.

And while I'm posting this blog, they edited and made the article longer. The heading is still the same. Some heads ought to roll if they can't even spell a 6-letter everyday word.

Crusie?
C'mon! What's wrong, NBA.com?

Sunday's Best

Now that the Cavaliers have sent the Bulls on their early fishing trip, next stop is Boston where the aging yet dangerous Celtics want to reclaim their lost glory. Although King James was in pain the last 7 seconds of their series with Chicago, I agree with what Charles Barkley said, "If Lebron said it's nothing serious, then it's nothing serious."

The Celtics are a very physical team, just ask Shaq why he wasn't able to play a lot of games in the regular season. Yeah, Glenn Davis said he didn't mean to hurt Shaq and he even called him up on the phone. Davis should be scared with what Shaq said to him on the phone, "Don't worry about it. I'll be back." And yes, the Diesel is back.

Game 1 will be at the Quicken Loans Arena this Sunday (Philippine Time), just before the fight of Shane Mosley and Floyd Gay-weather.

This will be one exciting Sunday! Can't wait! And have I mentioned that we're leaving for our short vacation Sunday evening?

Avatar of Pocahontas

I saw this in Facebook though it says it's from TheFunnyBlog.org. Anyhoo, it's like an eye-opener to those who people who said that the story of Avatar was original. Now I love the movie, the story, the cinematography, and everything, but I never thought of it as an original idea.

Old Papers

Since I'm the type of person who likes to scribble a lot wherever I am, I make sure I always have a pen and a small notebook with me. I make sure to write down whenever something enters my mind to ensure that nothing is forgotten, not until I'll lose that paper. Yes, I'm O.C. most of the time, and most of the time, I'm scribbling just about anything, from phone numbers, to songs that I hear, poems and songs that suddenly assemble in my mind, to quotes from conversations that I overhear.

Notebooks or even notepads are starting to get expensive nowadays so I'm recycling instead. I've gathered all my old notebooks and papers, and I've slowly fastened them together. I also found a lot of test papers and projects that my students didn't claim a long time ago. When I was still a teacher, I've always made it a point to return all the test papers and projects to the students, but there were a lot of students who just didn't care, so I still have their papers until now. 5 years worth of papers and almost 4 years of storing them, it's about time I recycle and reuse.

And yeah, today is Earth Day! :)

Kindred Auditions

Just in case someone stumbles into my fortress and is interested in joining our all-original musical, Kindred Hearts.

Kindred Hearts

Here's the music video of Kindred Hearts Musicale, an all-original musical with 16 original songs that we will be re-staging in August 2010.

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

Restage

There's a new theatre group in town and they presented an all-original musical with 16 original songs last December 2009 entitled Kindred Hearts. They will be re-staging the same musical sometime in August this year, and they approached me and my sis to help them. How can we say no to such a request. It's always a pleasure to help in any way we can, and much more if it has something to do about music and theatre. Kazie and I have been in theatre all our lives. It's something that's in our blood.

With our own theatre group, we've decided to give everyone a time to think and reflect about everything so we will not have rehearsals this coming weekend. Just so happened too that Kindred Hearts will have its audition this weekend so Kaz and I will be able to attend and see what we can do to assist them.

We will do everything possible to make sure the re-staging of Kindred Hearts will be a huge success. hopefully equalling or even surpassing the first staging 4 months ago. I feel good about this production, I don't know why. Here's hoping everything will turn out well.

Realizations

Just when I thought that everything is coming into place, some harsh realizations has just sunk in.

Last Saturday, almost everyone didn't attend rehearsals and worst, only 2 was courteous enough to send a text message informing me that they couldn't attend because of various reasons. It was a total waste of time and money. Here I am, struggling to make both ends meet for my family, but always making sure I'm including the expenses during rehearsals in my really tight budget. All for the love of performing, theatre and for our group.

Then it occurred to me.

We've been rehearsing already for many Saturdays but until now, we still don't have a complete cast. And because there's no contract or anything involved, we can't demand time from the few people that we already have and most of them are busy.

In the past productions that we've had in the past 5 years, it was the love for performing that kept us together. The enthusiasm and the passion was there, and to think that almost everyone involved in our past productions were students. They were so good in time management because they didn't only give an amazing performance, they also finished their studies with honors. Our word was our commitment back then. And yes, it was enough.

Now that almost all are professionals, I saw their excitement when they first came, but it slowly disappeared. I know it's partly my fault, but what can I do? We need to start at the very beginning, learning each and every song, no matter how boring that is for them.

I am seriously thinking of postponing the production indefinitely, until we have a complete cast, and until we have people who are really excited and enthusiastic about performing. I have the whole week to think this over.

*sigh*

Poker Face

Day 30 of the 30 Day Challenge - Your favorite song at this time last year

At this time last year, I don't remember a song that was my favorite, but I do remember one song that topped the charts: Poker Face by Lady Gaga.

I'm not a fan but I do admit that her songs are catchy, and despite being kinda weird, she is very talented. Even the great Lea Salonga included Poker Face in the repertoire for her Your Songs concert.

Cavs Take Game One

It's almost 6 AM and I'm still awake. The first game of the NBA Playoffs just ended and my Cavs took first blood against the Bulls. It wasn't a surprise at all though. I hope they can keep the intensity up, and sweep Chicago. It was so nice to see King James and the Big Shaqtus back on the floor for Cleveland.

Since we don't have cable TV, I was dependent on NBA.com the whole time. Before I used to listen to the audio league pass, but for some reason, it's not available anymore. Something caught my attention though. A small slip by the website admin: Cavs trying to hold off Cavs.

Now the NBA's website is one of the best, always up-to-date and very complicated. A small mess-up is not common that's why I'm happy I caught one of them.

Memory

Day 29 of the 30 Day Song Challenge - A song from your childhood

The very first song that I learned and loved when I was very young was Memory. My parents said I loved to sing that song even if I didn't know how to talk yet back then. I don't know if it's a coincidence or really destiny that the very first song I sang was from a Broadway musical, Cats. Curiously though, it is not among my favorite musicals. I just saw it once on video, and I was yawning the whole time. That was a long time ago though.

I hope to watch Cats soon and maybe I will love it this time. Coincidentally, Lea Salonga will be playing the lead in the said play mid this year. It's just too expensive, and because it will be in Manila, I would have to pay the airfare and hotel accommodations too. I think I'll just be looking for the video again.

If I Could Go Back

Day 27 of the 30 Day Song Challenge - A song that you wish you could play

Right now, I wish I could play any song with any instrument. It has been centuries since I last played a musical instrument that I've completely forgotten even the simplest of notes for any instrument. It would be so nice learning how to play again. Enrolling my daughter brought back memories because it is in the same school where I learned how to play my very first instrument, the piano, for the very first time.

Now if I had to choose just one song that I wish could play right now, it would be The Climb since that's the song that my daughter's practicing right now. It would be awesome playing the piano with my daughter singing.

I Will Come to You

Day 26 of the 30 Day Song Challenge - A song that you can play on an instrument

It has been a while since I last played a full song on our keyboards. That's one of my greatest regrets in life, not being able to practice playing the piano for the longest time. Now I have to start over since I don't remember a single thing anymore. I do remember the last time I played one full song, Hanson's I Will Come to You. I remember learning the song in less than hour, and that was the first time I played something using just the chords from a song hits magazine, and not using notes. Sad to say, that was also the last.

The instrumentation of the song is beautiful, as well as its lyrics. I hope to be able to play this song again soon.

Let the Playoffs Begin!

The Playoffs begin this Sunday and my team, the Cavaliers, are again the number one team in the NBA. They were among the favorite teams the previous seasons, but this season, a lot are expecting them to go all the way. They have the reigning MVP and they already have surrounded him with players who can help him reach the Mount Olympus of the NBA.

For the first round, the Cavs will face the Chicago Bulls. This match up brings back memories when the Cavs were eliminated a lot of times by the Bulls a long time ago when there was a number 23 playing for Chicago. Now, there's a new 23 playing for the Cavs and he's the best player in the planet.

If the Cavs play at their usual level and will not let down, I don't think the Bulls can win a single game. I'm not good with predictions, but I see the Cavs winning the first round 4-1.

Crazy Frog

Day 25 of the 30 Day Song Challenge - A song that makes you laugh

A song that makes me laugh is Crazy Frog's rendition of Axel F. Crazy Frog's face is already very funny itself, so if you add the funny song, the music video is double the laughs. Axel F is the theme from the movie, Beverly Hills Cop with Eddie Murphy. When Harold Faltermeyer made the song in 1984, I bet he didn't have any idea that 11 years after, an ugly frog will be remixing his music.

Bring Me to Where You Are

Day 24 of the 30 Day Challenge - A song that you want to play at your funeral

It would be very beautiful to have Josh Groban's songs played during my funeral especially To Where You Are. Andrea Bocelli's Con Te Partiro would also be perfect. I'm sure these songs would be very meaningful during my funeral, but if I could choose only one song to be played at my funeral, it would be Bring Him Home from Les Mis. It would be perfect if they'll be playing my version of the song.

As I've mentioned earlier in a previous post, it is a truly emotional and powerful song, if sung right. A lot of people have already sung the song, but only a few really sang the song the way it should be sung: prayerfully. In the musical, Bring Him Home is the prayer that Jean Valjean sings to God for Marius to be safe during the war.

Ikaw

Day 23 of the 30 Day Song Challenge - A song that you want to play at your wedding

One beautiful song that I sang at our wedding is the classic Ikaw composed by the late George Canceco. The lyrics and the melody of the song just touches the listener's heart. A lot of versions by different artists have been released, but for me, Martin's version is most heartfelt.

Mood Changer

Day 22 of the 30 Day Song Challenge - A song that you listen to when you’re sad

Although I am a sentimental fool, I try not to listen to sentimental songs when I'm feeling down. It will just add to the pain and emotional suffering. Instead, I prefer lively tunes, songs that can at least make me tap my feet. Lately, I've been listening to some of Glee's lively songs, and they're very helpful in changing my mood.

Pawned

This was going around in Facebook so I don't know who made this. Wherever this originated, it was wonderfully done.

Evolution of Dance

Day 21 of the 30 Day Song Challenge - A song that you listen to when you’re happy

There's no song in particular that I listen to when I'm happy, but I would prefer songs that are up-tempo or that are inspirational, songs like You Raise Me Up (Josh Groban's version) or Impossible Dream (Jed Madela's rendition).

Speaking of happy, there's this dance mix composed of different dance hits that was made especially for Vhong Navarro and the Streetboys. I like to listen and watch his when I'm happy, or when I'm down so I can brighten up.

Nothing in Particular

Day 20 of the 30 Day Song Challenge - A song that you listen to when you’re angry

In times when I'm angry, I listen to whatever song from my Phone or iPod. They're on shuffle so I don't really choose what I listen to. I've got a lot of different genres because I'm trying to expand my music vocabulary. Well, I still don't listen to those heavy metal stuff, but then again, I really don't consider them as music.

I tried to check Google and was surprised that a lot of people listen to rock or even heavy metal when they're mad. Although I don't have a specific song in mind, I would actually prefer a mellow song that would help calm me, not add to the pounding of my heart. Oh well, we have different preferences. :)

I Swear

Day 19 of the 30 Day Challenge - A song from your favorite album

Hit Man: David Foster and Friends is an amazing album with David Foster's greatest hits throughout his great career. It's a collector's item with an audio CD and a DVD of their Las Vegas show. It's the same show that launched Charice as international superstar.

One song that really blew me away from the album was I Swear. This Foster hit was originally sung by All-4-One eons ago, and I really loved the song. I still have my All-4-One cassette tape until now. In David's show, the same beautiful song was made even better by the great Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds and his very talented brother, Kevon. Theirs was a fresh take on the classic song, and made me love the song more.

I highly recommend David Foster's CD & DVD. My DVD is now the most played and replayed disc at home.

The Worm Deserves It!

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame's class of 2010 were announced and Karl Malone and Scottie Pippen were among them. Although they're deserving of the honor, there's one person who deserves it more and yet was not included. The Worm. I know I'm not alone in saying that Dennis Rodman is most deserving to be in the Hall of Fame, so I looked and found David Aldridge's article, Making the case for those on the outside looking in.

Here's what David said, and which I wholeheartedly agree:

It's a longshot that the Worm will ever get his day in the sun in Springfield any time soon. Too much craziness, too many dye jobs, tats and piercings, too much time in rehab, drifting from one reality to the next. But Rodman's body of work as the premier defensive power forward of his generation -- yeah, I said it -- will only grow as his antics recede from memory. A more prime candidate for a future Veterans' Committee vote has never come down the pike.

Rodman's seven seasons leading the NBA in rebounding, six seasons leading in offensive rebounding, four leading in total rebounds, seven NBA All-Defensive first team honors, two NBA Defensive Player of the Year honors and five championships with the Pistons and Bulls simply overwhelms any legitimate argument against his belonging in the Hall. It overwhelmed my initial skepticism.

A HOFer has to ace three criteria: 1) Were they dominant in their time, at their position? 2) Did they contribute to their team's winning? (That is not the same as winning championships; Wilt only won a couple of NBA rings, and no one with functioning grey matter would argue against him.) 3) Were they the clear best at any one skill (e.g., scoring, rebounding, assists, individual defense)?

How could you argue anything other than yes, yes, and yes for Rodman?

In the last 30 years, no one -- not Karl Malone, not David Robinson, not Hakeem Olajuwon, not Dikembe Mutombo, not Patrick Ewing or Ben Wallace or Tim Duncan or Dwight Howard -- has grabbed more rebounds than Rodman's 1,530 in 1991-92. Or Rodman's 1,367 in '03-'94. Or Rodman's 1,201 in '97-'98. Only Moses Malone, with 1,444 boards in 1978-79, Truck Robinson (1,288 in '77-'78), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (1,383 in '75-'76), Elvin Hayes (1,463 in '73-'74) and Wilt (who grabbed 1,526 boards in his final NBA season, 1972-73, at the age of 36 -- geez, the Dipper was a bad man) have numbers that compare with Rodman's in the last 40 years.

Yes, Rodman coasted on reputation in terms of man-to-man defense for many years late in his career, as referees bought into his flopping and diving much more than they should have. Yes, he dynamited the Lakers in less than one season, and even Mark Cuban had no use for him at the end. But when it came to going to get the ball, no one was Rodman's equal in his time. No one.

I say Amen, Mr. Aldridge. Amen.

From the Start

Day 18 of the 30 Day Song Challenge - A song that you wish you heard on the radio

Today as Shin Shin embarks on her new journey, a new start, I wish I would hear her song, From the Start, on the radio.

From the Start was composed by Vehnee Saturno and won Best Song, as well as winning a silver medal for Shin as Best Interpreter in the 2004 Shanghai Music Festival. It's one of her biggest hits, and a song that she can call her own.

Say you'll keep me in your heart
Promise me, we'll never part
I can only love you so much more
cause you are all I'm living for
and the only thing I'd do
Is to give my love to you
and forever you'll be in my heart
The way I've always loved you from the start

Goodbye ABS, Hello GMA

Today, Shin Shin will formally say goodbye to ABS-CBN, to ASAP XV, to her fellow performers who are also her closest friends.

It is a sad day for us, Shin's fans and friends, because in a few hours, she will sign a contract with ABS-CBN's rival station, GMA-7. From a Kapamilya, Shin will become a Kapuso. As a fan and friend, I am both excited and sad. Excited because after confirming the transfer with Shin and her mom, I learned about the possible projects planned for her, projects that will hopefully make her soar a little higher, make her star a little brighter. In the same breath, I feel so sad that she will no longer be performing with people she's been with for the past 6 years. There is no question that the talent-level of ASAP XV is far greater than Party Pilipinas or any other show, and though I respect Ogie Alcasid and Janno Gibbs, as the best and most seasoned male singers in GMA-7, I don't think they're good enough to match Shin's vocal prowess. Compare those two with ASAP's Martin Nievera, Arnel Pineda, Gary Valenciano and Jed Madela, and you'll get what I mean.

I've always said many times before that you won't really know the real value of someone or something until they're gone. I don't want to say this but I hate ABS-CBN for not really valuing Shin as one of the most talented stars they had. She was always second or third choice to others whose talents are inferior to hers, but she never complained. Demanding rehearsals and very early call time for a mere single production number where she gets to sing one stanza, she's still very professional about it. I've always hated ABS-CBN's politics and unfair treatment of their artists. Now that GMA has Shin, I hope they learned a lesson from their rival network, and will take care of Shin.

My loyalty has always been with Shin and not to any network. The best that I can do now is to hope and pray (hard) that everything will turn out well for everyone, most especially Shin Shin who's the center of this all.

Moving on is a simple thing,
what it leaves behind is hard.

Shin, you will always have our love and support.
And yes, God is always in control.
We love you! ♥

I Gotta Feeling

Day 17 of the 30 Day Song Challenge - A song that you hear often on the radio

I don't listen to the radio now as often as before but in the times that I am listening to it, I often hear the song I Gotta Feeling by the Black Eyed Peas. It's a simple song with a catchy tune and lyrics. I first heard of the song in one of Oprah's episode where it became one of the biggest and most successful flash mob dance ever. It's a song that grows on you. It grew on me and I'm loving it right now. Come to think of it, I don't have that yet in my iPod so this serves as my reminder to add this song in my next update.

Will.I.Am aptly described it when he said, "...this song is dedicated to everyone who is getting ready to go out... it's the song to listen to when you drive to the club or party... it's the song to listen to after a long day or week at work... it's the song to that makes me wanna throw my stress away..."

Don't Want It to Go On

Day 16 of the 30 Day Song Challenge - A song that you used to love but now hate

When the movie Titanic came out, the theme song My Heart will Go On by Celine Dion became a huge hit. I loved the song when it first came out, and watching the music video on MTV was a joy. That was before the song became number 1 for many months, and the music video was replayed almost every hour on MTV everyday for the next couple of months.

I don't really hate the song, but I don't like it that much anymore. It became a victim of overexposure.

Time Chasing Me

Day 15 of the 30 Day Song Challenge - A song that describes you

It was just like yesterday when I was in pre-school and then, grade school. I still remember my classmates and friends, and the games we used to play. I remember my teachers, their full names and their faces. I remember my high school years, our camaraderie, our Up's and Down's, our teachers, our experiences. Those 4 years were some of the best years of my life. I remember my college years, it wasn't easy but I survived with the help of my friends. I remember being known as the youngest Master's degree and Doctorate degree holder once upon a time. I remember settling down and starting a family. I remember carrying my baby in my arms as she sleeps.

Now that same baby I carried in my arms is now a young lady. She just said goodbye to kindergarten and will now be in grade school.

I used to think that I was chasing time, but now I realize that it's time chasing me. Martin definitely hit the spot when he wrote the song, Chasing Time.

Sometimes I don't know
Am I chasing time? I'm not in control

But now I can see, now I believe

It's really time chasing me!

Easter

The Lord came to earth
with a life to give,
so each one of us
may continue to live.

Happy Easter! ü

Goodbye, Kindergarten

My daughter finally said goodbye to pre-school and got the Academic Excellence Award for the 3rd straight year. It was bittersweet attending her graduation because that would probably be the last time she'll see most of her classmates. By the end of summer, she'll already be in Grade 1 in a much bigger school. The same school where I had most of my elementary years, and the same school where my mom finished high school.

My daughter's growing up so fast, it kinda scares me. Grade school is a totally different experience for her, everything will be bigger than her previous pre-school. There will also be a lot of changes for all of us. Her class is now the whole day, which means our time together will be much more limited if I won't go back to having a day-job soon. She's already 7 years old, but to me she's still a baby. Well, I've always told her that no matter what, she will always be her papa's baby.

The Climb

Day 14 of the 30 Day Challenge - A song that no one would expect you to love

No one expected me to love The Climb by Miley Cyrus. I know a lot of people don't like it, and most of them don't like it because they don't like Miley. I know, a very shallow and rather stupid reason. As for me, I so love the song, and though I don't really worship Miley Cyrus, I think she's one lucky and talented girl.

The Climb was nominated at the Grammys and has achieved worldwide success and became a top ten hit on charts in Australia, Canada, Norway, and the United States. In the United States, the song peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the eighth best selling digital single of 2009. Five months after its release, the single was certified double platinum. In the short time since it was released in March 2009, a lot of artists have already covered the song, and for sure, a lot more will be doing the same thing in the future. At least Miley will have the recognition as the original singer of the inspirational power ballad.

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

Office Alone

One hour and 9 minutes more, and I'm done with my Maundy Thursday all-alone-in-the-office-graveyard shift. Tonight will be my last shift for the week, and my last graveyard shift for now as I'll finally be going back to the swing shift next week. It will also be a Good Friday all-alone-in-the-office-graveyard shift. I don't know if I'm just unlucky but since I started working here, I'm always the unlucky bloke assigned to the graveyard shift during Holidays. It sucks big time that's why I just have to think about the double pay every time it happens.

There's another holiday next week, but at least I'll be at the swing shift already, the shift I love most because I will have more time to spend with my daughter. And I will definitely have to spend as much time with her as I can before she starts grade school in a couple of months.

Gave It All Away

Day 13 of the 30 Day Song Challenge - A song that is a guilty pleasure

My guilty pleasures include Boyzone, Journey, Backstreet Boys and a lot more, but a new song that I'm starting to love is Boyzone's Gave it All Away. It's the last song that Stephen Gately recorded, and their music video is dedicated to him. It's a beautiful song and you can feel Ronan's and the rest of the guys' emotions while singing the song. It will also be the last song of Boyzone with their distinct sound as Steo's recognizable voice will no longer be around in the next recordings.

We Miss You, JP II

Today is the 5th death anniversary of Pope John Paul II. I remember crying so hard on that very sad day. I've always looked at him as a living Saint, and by returning to his Creator, he takes a step to real sainthood. He was not perfect, but he lived his life to the fullest and did the best he could as Head of the Catholic Church.

I miss you, JP II.

May you continue to bless us from Up There.

Can't Wait for July

The new TV spot of The Last Airbender is short and contains most of the footage we've already seen in previous trailers, but there are also a few more actions scenes, and one scene where the trio are riding Appa, the favorite Bison of everyone in love with the series.

I can't wait for July! This is going to be AWESOME! :)

Dislike

Day 12 of the 30 Day Song Challenge - A song from a band you hate

I don't really hate any band. I'm a music lover and I appreciate people who at least try to make music, good or bad. Yes, I admit there are times when some people are better off not making music, but hey, I don't hate them for that.

I remember the song Miss na Miss Kita from the band Father and Sons. They released the song in 1991 and it became the theme song of a Robin Padilla movie, Utol Kong Hoodlum 2. I admit singing the song when it came out (hey, I was 11 years old), and I still know the lyrics until now. For me, the song is okay, but I still don't really like the band. I don't hate them, I just don't like them.
