Touched

I was riding a jeepney this morning on the way to our recording session, and I saw this little girl of about 9 or 10 eating junk food inside the PUJ. She was wearing dirty clothes and her hair was disheveled. I didn't notice anyone else with her, but what I noticed touched me. When a few pieces of the junk food fell on the floor, the young girl immediately picked them up, one by one, went to the farthest end of the jeepney and carefully put them inside the garbage bin. It was a very small act but it really touched my heart. I know that little girl is blessed.

Remembering Chris

Today, Christopher Reeve would have been 58 years old. Yes, he didn't really get along with some of his co-stars but who cares. I grew up with Chris as my Superman just as my daughter knows Brandon Routh as her Superman. Compared to Chris, I think Brandon fits the role better, but Chris will always be the Superman for a lot of people.

Happy Birthday, Superman.
Thank you for making us believe a man can fly.

Cough and Theatre

I'm still sick, well not really sick but still having this terrible cough for a couple of weeks now. No, I didn't go for a check up because all the symptoms point to URTI, something I've experienced a couple of years ago which the medicine is really expensive. I can't afford any expensive meds now so for the past week, I've been doing the water therapy and prayers.

A little more than a week to go before our shows - 14 shows in 4 days, and I will be performing in 7, with my alternate doing the other 7. My sis, Kazie, will also be doing 7 shows and out of those 7, we'll be performing together in 4 shows (or is it 5?). I'm very excited but scared because I know I will still have this cough during the show, unless a big miracle will happen. I trust in the Lord though that He will never leave me. I've also been trying to practice a different singing technique where I can still sing despite this cough and sore throat.

Theatre is my passion that even if it entails a lot of sacrifices and I get nothing in return, I would never give it up. As long as there is an opportunity to do it, I will always embrace it.

Teleserye Medley

Boring day at the office so I just browsed through some vids when I came across this amazing vid from The Voice. I was fortunate enough to witness him sing this masterpiece of a medley though I was able to record only half of it. I thank the uploader of this vid in YT for sharing this as this is one of the best ever medley of songs I've ever heard.

By Train

This was forwarded to me by email...

Dear Dad,

Berlin is wonderful, people are nice and I really like it here. But Dad I’m a bit ashamed to arrive to my college with my Red Ferrari, when all my Teacher travel by train.

Your Son,
Nasser

Sometime later Nesser gets reply to his email from his Dad..

Loving Son,

Twenty Million Dollars been transferred to your account, please stop embarrassing us. Go and get yourself a train too

Is this the "training" our taxes are paying for?

Robbed

My friend was supposed to be the champion in a singing contest in school, but the wrong contestant was "declared" and they're too ashamed to admit it to everyone so they stuck with their decision which I think is BS! The supposed champion was not deserving at all. He sang easy songs, yet he never did justice to those songs, and his voice even cracked trying to desperately reach the high notes, when in fact, it wasn't that high at all.

I am outraged by this since the same thing happened to me when I was in college in the same school. They declared my contestant number but announced the wrong name, and was informed afterwards that I indeed won but it was "too late to correct it."

Livia was the brightest star tonight, and hands down, she was the best singer in the whole competition, but was robbed by the irresponsible organizers. Yes, organizers since they made the blunder and not a single one was willing to admit and correct it in front of everyone. I was running to catch the competition after our rehearsals, and though I was happy to see Livia, I was very disappointed with the results.

Happy Birthday My Wife, My Best friend

I knew when I met you,
That you were the one.
I knew you and I,
Together would have fun.

I knew there was no other,
I wanted in my life.
And certainly no other,
I wanted for my wife.

You came into my life,
And you fit perfectly.
I think you were born,
Especially for me.

You had my heart,
Right from the start.
The love for you in it,
Will never part

Happy Birthday, Mama!
I love you always & forever ♥

23 Days to Go

What a busy, busy week!

Last Saturday, we had our press conference at the Waterfront Hotel in the afternoon, then had one of the most emotional and draining rehearsals (probably because we forgot to eat the whole day) in the evening. And just tonight, we sang and promoted our musical at the meeting of the Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente. I was late for work, but I'd like to think that it was worth it. The feedback we had from the Rotarians was heartwarming.

Here's a sample of one of our songs:

KH First Trailer

Been so busy that I've only slept for 2 hours everyday for the past couple of weeks. I'm on my way now to our press conference, but not before I share our first trailer done by our talented producer.
