Since today is my phone's first birthday, I'd like to share something I learned a couple of years ago: How to access the life-timer of a Nokia mobile phone. The life-timer is the total number of hours and/or minutes used by your phone since it was manufactured. This can be useful when you're buying a new phone, to make sure that it is really a new phone, and not a refurbished one.From the main screen of your Nokia phone (this doesn't work for other brands), type *#92702689#. For new phones, it should show 0000:00, which means that the phone has been used for 0000 hours and 00 minutes.
The timer can normally be reset by putting a new software version onto the phone, which they don't normally do for refurbished or reconditioned phones.
