Hemsworth Brothers Battled for Thor

Trivia: Chris Hemsworth has been receiving rave reviews for his performance in the Kenneth Branagh-directed film. But it just so happens that he wasn't even on the director's original shortlist - and his younger brother, Liam was.

After months of searching for his star, Branagh narrowed his list to four actors, including Liam. To make a long story short, fate intervened and Chris got the part - and did great to the role :)

Thor Enough?

When Chris Hemsworth was announced to play Thor, some fan boys reacted that he doesn't look the part, and he's not big enough to convincingly play the Norse God of Thunder. The first picture released showed Chris in the costume, but it didn't show how big he was so the fan boys were not convinced. If you remember in the comics and cartoons, Thor perhaps has the biggest muscles among the Avengers.

Looking at the new picture of Chris from the movie, I'd like to ask the fan boys now, Is he big enough for you?

Thor will be released worldwide on May 6, 2011, 2 months before Captain America: First Avenger (July 22, 2011) and a year before the much anticipated Avengers (May 4, 2012).

First Look at Thor

The very first photo of Chris Hemsworth as Thor was recently released, and it's looking very good. I put it beside the comics version of Thor so we can compare both. The costume looks awesome.

One year to go before we can see this on the big screen, May 6, 2011. A long way to go, but definitely something to look forward to.
